The meditating Buddha statue in the front of Tay Kak Sie temple. There is a ship on the background which is the miniature of Admiral Cheng Ho‘s ship. The ship was used as a stage to perform many attractions during the celebration of Chinese New Year.

Another paper of wish hung on the Tree of Hope in Tay Kak Sie temple. The picture is Snoopy (Peanuts) reading a book, the wish was meant for a good achievement/grade at school or college.

One of many papers of wish hung on the Tree of Hope. Seen from its picture, Dear Daniel and Hello Kitty (SANRIO) in wedding dress, the wish was meant for a long lasting relationship between the couple/spouse.

Besides the red lanterns, there was also the Tree of Hope where people are hanging their papers of wish on it (which reminds me of Tanabata in Japan).
